Yeah thats a bullshiznit. I'd tell him he needs to find another sucker. Keep the truck and keep looking You'll find another fox of some sort sooner or later. It took me around 4-5 years to get mine. Just hang in there. I've kinda lost my excitement of my car as of late but give it time and I'll be back into it.

I have always seen the Rivera as a wanna be buick cougar. if you like it go for it.

More like the other way around, the Rivera's were on the street four years before the first Cougar...

Really the first Cougs were just fancied up Stangs, the Rivs, Tbirds, etc were true personal luxury rides...

Assuming the Buick is solid, a grand and the truck is still a screamin' deal...

Yeah that actually would be. Id DEFINITELY go for it assuming I had the liquid cash of course. But those are sweet rides...60s buicks are just really solid. That 430 will roast em too

My favorites are the first gen and the boattail ones.
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...
1988 Black XR7 Trick Flow top end, Tremec 3550
1988 Black XR7 Procharger P600B intercooled, Edelbrock Performer non-RPM heads, GT40 intake AOD, 13 PSI @5000 RPM. 93 octane

If I had the cash, I would be buying an '87 Cougar. It's my favorite car, hands down. Can't wait till I get another.

Ha, he's calling you. That means he's getting desperate, so now it's  your turn. Try out his car and tell him the motor seems down a little on power. Then tell him you'll need $1000 cash from him to put towards a motor rebuild. lol. Whatever happens, good luck!!

Thats a good idea, when I didn't email him back he dropped it down to 800 lol. I think I will wait a little longer, and email him back. And yes, he is getting desperate lol
