Thats neat but i cant stand to watch that particular show.  i spend all of my time thinking what a douche the guy sounds that narrates.  and i know its not him, its the guy who writes the script... but still, cant he at least watch the clips he's narrating some times?

You can tell the cop knows jack  about cars and is trying his best to sound knowledgable. At the end of the video the idea was for the passengers to bail out, a little weight reduction, so the driver could leave the Mustang. But by the time the driver got out to let the back seat passengers out the cop was already there.

"Wow, you can read the brochure."

You don't like Sheriff John Bennell? You don't like their over narrorating, or the sound effects they add for effect? My two fave vids out of that show EVER are the Gen 1 SHO chase and this one.

Actually, you CAN have two systems. It was funny you said that.I JUST read an article last night in an old MuscleCar magazine about a silver '67 GTX called the Silver Bullet that had a wicked Hemi.It was a car owned by a mechanic in Michigan who got support from Chrysler and prototype parts to run on the street to "test" them against other street racers. The first two tubes from each header (4 tubes altogether) went to two pipes and lers, and the last 4 tubes went to two more pipes and lers.Crazy stuff.I'd never seen anything like it before.

I seem to remember another of those police chases involving a TC and a 5.0 Mustang, and the TC flat out walks away from the Mustang on an interstate. I also remember that cop saying "You can't outrun me, I've got a 5.0", and laughing as the TC did, indeed, outrun him. I know it's not the video posted here, though, because the video I'm remembering ended in the TC crashing.

I loved the fast that John Binell said the SHO had a supercharged V6. That SHO got going and kept walking away from that Caprice, had he not been so stupid he could have gotten away. Probably helps they can do 144 MPH easy.

Does anyone still have this clip? I have all the other ones I recorded but apparently either lost of forgot which account I had this one uploaded to. If you think you do, search for *.avi with a file size of between 23-25MB - it had to be compressed to fit into Comcast's 25MB hosting limit at the time. I want this file again to complete my collection - I've got the other two and there's no way I'm recording and going through all these episodes again to look for Thunderbirds. Should I reupload the other two I have for the new people?

I'm thinking the other one was a false memory. The "I've got a 5.0" one is one with the wreck as in the link here. The messed up thing is that recording in that link has the same picture artifacts that my pvr150 has - it's probably the same recording :p

But the TC doesn't wreck in the video posted in the link here. The guys stop it and bail. The one that ends in a wreck that I'm remembering most definitely ended in a wreck, and it wasn't even the same colour (it was maroon). The TC in the video is not clearly identifiable until the car wrecks (mainly because the cop never gets close to it, but partly because the video is blurry). I don't remember if the narrator hyped up the TC the way the guys does in the video in this thread, but I do clearly remember the cop chasing him saying "You can't outrun me, I've got 5.0", at which point the TC easily outruns him. The TC's tail lights became a dot on the horizon after he took off from the Mustang, then go out in a cloud of dust and sparks with the cop screaming the familiar "10-50! 10-50!" The cop catches up and the TC is demolished and smoking in the middle of the road. I think it hit a pole or a guard rail or something like that, not another moving vehicle. The driver ends up leaving the scene in an ambulance. It's not a false memory - I have a very good memory, and it's not the same video shown in the OP's link.

Now, that being said, I do remember the video but don't remember what show it was on. There were several of those "world's most overly hyped police videos" shows on a few years ago, including some poorly done Canadian and British ones.
