Found a used cam! What luck. Comp Cams 270H. .500 of lift i/e, 224 i/e dur @ .050. Power range of 1800-5800, and a nice lumpy idle too.

Oh and the stall of my torque converter is 1600-1800.

With that cam you will need at least another grand of stall.. I have the 221*/225* Stage-1 Trick Flow cam and my 2600 ain't really enough...

Question. Would advancing the cam help any? :dunno: Also thought about getting some of those Rhodes lifters. Stoopid stall! :yuck: This would not be a prob if I had a darn 5-speed!

I hate to split hairs, but even if it is 200lbs in weight difference, THAT coupled with a 15 HP dissadvantage would make for about a 3/10 ths difference in the 1/4 mile.  At the power levels we are discussing here I think 50 HP less in a car of equal gearing and weight would be more that 3/10 ths.......

Well I don't have to worry about that G35 anymore. The g/f decided to buy a 2006 Accord. I would be worried if it was the V6 but it ain't. After test driving a few stangs she decided that RWD in MI winter is not the best combo. lol. That and Ford kept jerking her around. Oh wells, no race. :(
