Transparent Distributor Caps

Anyone seen them on a 5.0? They are the clear or tinted ons you can see the spark. My cap is flat on my 87 5.0 and I would love a blue tinted dist. cap. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yes, I do know what you're talking about. My brother bought one for his '73 Trans Am that he's still working on. We turned out the lights and fired up the motor...you can see almost no sparks. We were a little disappointed.

It looks nice in the engine bay, though.

Oh, well thats good to know. I was hoping to make a manual lever to open/close my tc hood scoop inserts(the ones I made to keep the water out) and I figured on nice nights I could open them and everyone could see the sparks, in blue I was thinking.

Well thats a little disappointing. :(

I've always thought clear valve covers and timing cover would be cool, if you could keep 'em clear.
