window fell off, adhesive worn out. Reply #15 – January 21, 2009, 07:09:27 AM I spent many a day trying to glue my windows back into the clips. I tried everything Silicone didn't work (of course it was old and I didn't scratch the window up), Gorilla Glue, (don't bother with that as it won't work at all) in the end I used 3M's window glue and it's holding fast now, no problems. Yeah it's like $16.00 for the tube (caulk gun size is all you can get this in) but it worked. As Kitz Kat said, don't get this stuff on your hands cause it took me like a week to get it off (I should of wore gloves ) what a pain it was. Quote Selected
window fell off, adhesive worn out. Reply #16 – January 21, 2009, 06:35:06 PM my window weld came off last night I think. I messed up where I marked my tabs, so I think I moved them to far forward or backwards on the window. I guess I'l have to do it again... Quote Selected
window fell off, adhesive worn out. Reply #17 – January 21, 2009, 06:42:44 PM I broke down the last time and bought a tube of expensive glass adhesive silicone. It's the ONLY thing that has lasted more than one winter other than the OEM stuff for me.If you need replacement window clips, They are identical in many Ford and Lincoln vehicles if you want to look and have a salvage yard nearby.
