becausae the "top" button on the bottom right, that gets you back to the very top of the screen (and to that menu) is too hard to press?

I never went all the way down to the bottom of the screen.
I found it

on my powerbook I just press the apple key and the up arrow on the side elevator, and it hits the top

So you mean I coulda wrote important info to that bottom row and you woulda never seen it? LOL
