TC vs Deer September 15, 2008, 02:16:57 PM TC 1, Deer 0. I guess it could have been worse. Long story short, my son was stressed from finals this spring, so he took his TC out to unwind and managed to smoke Bambi. He felt bad about killing the deer and also about trying to kill his TC. We did a father-son restoration on it a few years ago and he has enjoyed it ever since, until now. All of the mounting for the passenger headlight was broken, along with the other lights, fog light, bumper, header, some internals and fender damage. Actually, we ended up having to paint both fenders. Oh well. It was a one week job that took us all summer to do. I finally painted it a few weeks ago and my son finished putting it back together soon after. He took it to a show the day after he finished bolting it together and got a Second Place Trophy, so he was happy. We took some “during” pics and snapped a couple of "after” shots too. It’s no Project Evolution, but at least it’s done…. again. If he feels stressed next spring, I’m going to have him borrow the wife’s car. LOL. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/P5030006.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/P6080018.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/DSC04444.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/P7080001.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/P7080005.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/DSC05019.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/DSC05026.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/DSC05340.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/flstci71/Car%20Pics/DSC05324.jpg Quote Selected

TC vs Deer Reply #12 – September 15, 2008, 10:43:09 PM Yes, that is fur in the first pic. It was on the headlight and then it slid down just before I snapped the pic. We figured we should leave it on as sort of a "Badge of Honor". LOL. My son is very happy with the car.... again. He really relishes driving it, even more than usual, because he lost almost the whole summer. He has the car at college right now. I am hoping nothing happens to it there. We're working on his other TC and don't need two projects.... again. Quote Selected
