Here in PA you can only get beer in bars and beer distributors (can't go to the local seven-eleven for a frosty six pac :nono:  ) and for wine and the hard stuff ya gotta go to the state liquer store. :bs:

Allegheny county adds a 1% county sales tax to the state sales tx =7%. Yea! :yuck: Plus the lovely property and school taxes, woohoo!

Some of those taxes even go to the two new stadiums that nobody wanted. How's that for voting power? :toilet:

Makes ya want to be an Allegheny county homeowner, huh? Oh, come on. You know ya wanna!

Repairing a lock cylinder that is frozen or sans keys requires a drill, gumption, and a midget on a tricycle.

Any of you who rent (or live with family who rent) in one of the aforementioned states might wish to check sites like this out:

http://www.nlihc.org/

Now before you scoff at the title of "low-income housing", just keep in mind that in some states the qualification runs up to something like $82k a year. I don't fully understand this program, (I'm working on learning all this , though) but apparently it's some discount through state taxes.. so this doesn't appear to be some charity handout, it's YOUR money. If you don't take it, I'm sure someone else will be more than happy to. Look for something called a "circuitbreaker program" or "State Funded Rental Assistance".

I've been reading a lot of this kind of thing lately. If I find more of 'em relevant to that area, (PA, OH, IN, etc.. I see those states come up quite a bit in this material.. far more often than FL does anyway) I'll try to remember to post 'em.

Imagine that, I hijacked my own thread.. heh. Anyway, supposedly 26 states have some sort of program for what I mentioned above, so your odds are decent that your state might have one.
