I wish to thank you

I would like to thank everyone in this forum who have took the time to give some joe off of the internet some help.It was a great find in landing on this site. It is nice to know that other people love their cars enough to make a community such as this.

And now so that I am not just a joe of the streets, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Scott Konecny (pr0nounced "connection-knee") and I live in Huntsville Alabama. I am a father of two boys, Skylar 7 and Takota 2. I am the oldest of 5 children and have an extra large extended family.

I got my Cougar about a year ago from my grandmother when she got a new car. But the car once was owned and bought brand new by my aunt. I was 10 years old and feel in love with it. It was the second car that I was aloud to steer :) But anyways, I told my aunt that she could never sell it cuase it was to be mine. Flashforward 20 years and I get it.

But the problem is, even though it has been taken care of, time does have a way with things, Im sure everyone knows what i mean. So Im really wanting to make it come back. Its a silver 85 model, 3.8 liter v6, with tinted windows. Engine runs really good but needs work for it to survive. Has a good body but has a few areas that need repair.

Well thats it in a nutshell, just wanted to say hello and thank you very much. I am not longer Aggrevated in Alabama. :headbang:

Scott

HI I'm Steve.

I'm 18 and live in DuBois, Pennsylvania.  Without these boards my car would never be what it is today!  Without all the help and parts that I got from these forums, I'd be lost.

My first car: white 1988 Cougar LS 3.8L (now my winter beater)
My second: 1988 Cougar LS 5.0L (my baby!  )

Welcome!

Absolutely!! I'm such an anime freak, I see you like Futurama :) Love Adult Swim. I've used the Locnar handle for as long as I've been on computers, lets see, 1986. So if you guys ever see a Locnar or LordLocnar online, it's gunna be me.

I can already tell I'm gunna like the bunch that are on this site, seem to be of like minds.

Adult Swim? I'm Canadian, I don't get to exoerience that. I only get to watch recycled Nick at Night on Teletoon.

I love Futurama, Simpsons, Family Guy (it's coming back :headbang: ), Clone High, Oblongs, ATHF, Kevin Spencer (not sure if you Americans get that show, it's likely WAY too rough for your post-gate FCC)...

Heavy Metal, BTW, is not really anime. It's Canadian. I've loved that movie ever since I watched it on my old (then new) Betamax VCR. My favourite segments were the stoned aliens and the B-52 scene. The aliens were funny, the bomber just plain scared the shiznit outta me. To this day I have yet to see a scarier animated segment. I've always thought a T-shirt with that smiling UFO hovering over the white house would be cool...

I haven't seen that movie for about 10 years. I must see if'n I can limewire it up...
