Just called my buddy, he has a set sitting at his house. Defect is a defect, no matter where you buy it from (direct or dealer). They still made it so dealer shouldnt matter in the end.

Still up in the air about UPR though

UPR can eat my ass.

Constantly copying other designs and selling them as their own. Not as bad as Granatelli though.

but in China stealing designs is perfectly legal so they get away with it. Ridiculous

Granatelli blows.  I had the misfortune of purchasing a product from them once.  It was in use -- dysfuntional use at that -- for about 5 minutes.

There is a line between product development, by reverse engineering and copying. I am NOT aware of where they stand in this situation though.

UPR and Granatelli both copy other successful designs.

This is why I plan on applying for a patent on any products I might bring to market before I offer to sell such product. "Pat. Pend." tends to make the copiers think just a little bit - lol.

I doubt it would bother them. Read the yellow bullet link. Jeremy is the worlds biggest douche and really lets it show in that thread. I don't think stealing other people designs is a way to do business. I would boycott them just off of that.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
