Part # difference Reply #15 – March 06, 2008, 10:33:17 PM Cougars were the first to have those headlamps so they got a 1987 (E7) part number. Once the 1988 Continental came out and used the same lights, the E8 p/n superceded the E7 one. They are still the same headlights, regardless.Pauly...why are you not using my supah awesome part number list?http://www.coolcats.net/tech/reference/8788partnumbers.html Quote Selected
Part # difference Reply #16 – March 07, 2008, 08:29:19 AM I am using your list. By typing in the part #'s from it onto the other site, it came up with the results about the Cougars and T-birds having the same headlight. I was told the same thing over the phone, but that the sidemarkers and parking lamps are model specific. They also have this disclaimerQuotePlease have your VIN number available when you place your order. Is it possible they could filter them out differently with a given VIN for a specific model upon ordering ?I think I'm just gonna order one and say it's for a Continental. That seems to be the safe bet right now. Quote Selected

Part # difference Reply #22 – March 14, 2008, 10:06:31 AM Well if you add the two together plus the Vaseline it averages out to $151... You probably would not have been too unhappy with that price... Quote Selected
