Honestly I'd be happier than a twister in a trailer park if this thing was a full-manual valvebody. I shift it myself all the time (just holding it in 1st easing it up letting off the gas letting it drop in NOT beating on it just getting more RPMs out of it) honestly. It almost NEVER actually goes 1-2-3 on its own LOL. BUT...but if I want to, I can let it do that. And the footwork aint there either. Moving the handle doesnt bother me at all...I think the pedal action is what would get spoogebersome in things like rush-hour traffic etc.

Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

Been driving the car all day now.  Got a couple of vids that I'll have up soon.  And yeah, I used the  that vinnie sent me for free.  I like that it has the H pattern on it; looks nice.  I'd like some input from the other guys that have done the T5 swap on this:

After a few mins, the console gets REALLY hot.  We cut out some sheet metal to go around the shifter, sealed it with high heat tape, then cut the insulation around it.  But it still gets hot.  What's the remedy?

I have a Mustang piece like that and it didn't fit right.I thought the T-Bird/Cougar "boots" were unique to themselves.

There is of course the rubber boot that bolts to the floor pan.. and two layers of insulation.  My console  never got hot.

Anybody know where I can find a Tbird lower boot?  Or how to adapt a Mustang one to fit?
