The last one that snaped i got maybe 10 miles on it to limp it home.
I had shaft stuck in the converter and other half stuck in drum.

It damaged the drums as well as the planetary gears were damaged

humm. thats rite 2 shafts. to bad you have to tear down the whole tranny to get to those shafts . im just gonna take the cougars and put the T-go kit in this one if it's a B-servo trans other wise just stock..  and a good converter

Inner shaft is no problem to replace, just slides out. I got lucky, mine broke in the converter, banged it on the workbench a couple of times and it fell out...

Mine was not so lucky.  i had to have the converter cut open and rebuilt.
Other half of the shaft is still stuck in the drum to this day.
makes a good door stop

I have another AOD that lasted 2 days then pump started to wine when i downshift so pulled it and slaped ina stick,  5 T5s later i'm thinging of a Lentech Strip Terminator with a 9ich racermaster converter

Anyone else had problems with their T-5s.  Im going to do it regardless but im worried that i might destroy it driving it, ive never owned a car with a stick not to say i dont know how to drive stick, almost every work truck i have driven was a manual.  Should i get super strong stuff.

OK. i think it's been narrowed down to what caused this failure.  one the cars radiator is to small.  the clutch fan is shot. which Equals. HEAT. and with out a trans cooler. im surprised it lasted this long. i think only bc the Cold weather. and with the trans go kit increasing the line pressure. that probably makes more heat. . and us just putting in the "B" servo in a "C" servo trans..
