I love the way the Magnaflows sound on my 87. I'd buy those again in a heartbeat.

I think your car sounds great in that vid. Hell, you've got me thinking about getting an off road H-Pipe (again).

BTW, this is off topic but what rpm does your XE266 kick in at?

HP #'s mean nothing if other things in the exhaust system are changed to accomodate certain lers.  I've never seen the article so I couln't tell if this test holds any substance.  More info is needed.  Header type and size, pipe diameter size, collector length and diameter..... I'm sure different exhaust setups will affect ler ouptput and which ones output the most as well.
If the rest of the exhaust system was left unchanged for each run on these particular tests, it would seem the exhaust system was optimized to be used with a ler and not wihout as evidenced by no ler showing the lowest HP rating.

Show me how many CFM's a ler is capable of flowing on a flow bench with no other piping involved.  It would convince me a little more than these numbers without how they came upon them.

i think they used a stock 302 mustang.  all that was changed on the car was the lers.

Actually it's a Magnum 266HR ;) The cam kicks in at about 2,000 rpm and pulls like a mofookie up to the 5,000 rpm shift point. Really it doesn't feel like power drops off untill it's in 3rd gear over 5,000 rpms with my foot to the floor;) Cam has an operating range of 1,200-5,200 rpm.

You can hear the cam in my car a bit at idle though can't you?;)

Yes, but what exhaust components besides the lers were changed from dyno run to dyno run?  Some lers are built specifically for certain h/x-pipes and cannot be used with other systems.  One would hope the lers use for this test could all bolt up to the same piping and that this was in fact done.  Until I know for sure, I'll remain skeptical.

i just say be skeptical, but it does kind of give you an idea of the performance.  an *IDEA* of how they are.

Sorry to hijack.....I just sent out an e-mail to se if these http://www.stainlessworks.net/cart/product_info.php?cPath=380_316_403_421&products_id=1432&osCsid=e799740318504a9b3614ad43ac294d63 will clear an AOD, and if so whether or not they need modification to do so.
