Dude, your car is way too busy as it is.

Do what you want, but don't expect compliments.

Agreed!  man that tbird is just about as nasty as the cougar I posted about.  you add all this  like a ricer shopping for new decals in Wal mart.  knock this shiznit off and make a respectable looking car.

OK heres what i was thinking its just a brainstrom but its copyrighted.  .... Yeah OK!  it's called RICED, not copyrighted....

Side scoop into the air fliter and then Buick GNX fender grills and some Supercharged badges under the it after i get the vortech put in.

Has anyone used a extra TC hood scoop to mold into the fender to hook into their cold air kit?

ME!, and it's copyrighted, copy it and I'll sue you. :p

X infinity, trust me man, as your car is, nobody will copy it.  Nobody on here like rice.  pick a colour.....  or two, if you must....

Agreed.  It is your car, do what you want.  But, it's up to you, the owner, to do everything in good taste.

Now, IMO, I'd find a stock 3.8 hood to try it out on, and not the TC hood.  That's what I'm doing with my dented hood....making a 383 shaker hood out of it, then the other hood spare I have I'm goin to try making a Barracuda hood out of it, and if neither of them work out to my approval, then it's a TC hood.  Now, IMO, if you want to copy someone that's one thing, but if you ask the originator on how to do it, that's respect and appropriate duplication...for a lack of a better word, lol.  Good luck either way.

Dude, take a better look at 1 Wld Brd's car in the pic you posted. That scoop in the fender ain't stock :hick:

I'm not gonna rip on your car like others have - it's your car and you're free to build it the way you want. In the same vein, though, if you want it to be unique don't try bouncing ideas off other people (especially other people's ideas). If you want to do something, do it. You don't need our approval.

Thunderchicken i agree with you and i need to buy the sequntial tail light form you later on. Before i painted my car that way almost no one in my city knew what a 80s T-Bird was or even looked like and most of them think it came painted that way or that its a mustang or something. The car is busy but its better than just being unseen good or bad its on of a kind and the vortech was only $925 for the whole kit except the fuel lines to the FMU could i pass a deal like that up hell no.

At this angle it looks 2 toned and you can't see 2 much red.

Got a nice sound system.

Also the H.O. Engine swap but its cool if you just wanna focus on the stuff you don't like overall its not a bad car.

dude you need a fan shroud. it should help keep it cool, id ditch that flex fan
though they suck. put a stock setup on it with the shroud and all should be well

The only thing with the GN scoop, its its so far back you'd have to pipe it in making it useless. You want a straight shot.

A scoop on a TC hood will look way to busy IMHO.

The TC hood looks good enough as it is. The thing about any sort of  pop-up hood scoop is that there are so many stick-on hood scoops out there now, even real ones look fake. The "flush" scoops of the TC hood look that much better because they look real.

before i put on the supercharger gonna order me a E-Fan to free up a little room and i am going to sell the flex fan for like $5 to someguy with a mustang and trash whats left of my fan shroud.

AT this point nothing more will be added to the hood it allready is more customized than most hoods and will stay as is so relax.

my stock fan broke and my car overheated and dieded 4-5 times before i got home and i had the grind a bracket down for the TC scoops to fit so it was throwing anti-freeze all over my front window the flex fan nots bad but a E-Fan would be a lot nicer. That was with less than 4,000 miles after rebuild so i had to get some kind of fan so i could drive it.

You ask for our opinions on a matter, we give them to you and then you tell us to relax?

I don't think anyone really got worked up over this to be honest.  One of the things that happens when you post in a forum is you may not get the response you want.

scoops should be determined by need

I don't think it's that hard to reach your stated performance goals, esp with a V8.  I'd think a couple of IHIs or T3s from ugraded TCs and tweaking the fuel delivery would solve the problem.  Might not even need an I/C since you wouldn't need to run lots of boost to make the power needed.

Figure out how you're going to achieve your performance goals and everything else falls into place ... sort of.
