ProForm Roller Rockers JUNK? Pictures inside October 24, 2007, 07:57:39 PM These two different rockers came in one box for Johns project Goldmember. 12 are the design on the left and came in a bag. 4 are the design on the right and came in a box. The one on the left looks as if its not fully machined. There is a ridge in the cup that would grind the top of a pushrod if this was installed. Looking at them.. the one on the right has the pushrod cup closer to the fulcrum of the rocker than the one on the left. What gives? Quote Selected

ProForm Roller Rockers JUNK? Pictures inside Reply #2 – October 24, 2007, 08:10:36 PM ALL ProForm stuff is .That is FACT and not opinion. They got their @$$es handed to them by MSD in Federal Court last year and the stories get worse from there. There are currently three lawsuits in motion by other companies for copyright fraud. They have THE worst return rate of any manufacturer for both defects AND fitment (as in the stuff doesn't fit).I won't touch ANYTHING they make with a 10' pole. Neither will any of my distributors. Summit/Jeg's/ProForm direct/and local shops (think NAPA esque) is the only way to get their anymore. All of the major dealer/distributor/warehouse networks have dropped them.Send them back and buy some good rockers. Scorpion's are great for the $$. Quote Selected

ProForm Roller Rockers JUNK? Pictures inside Reply #6 – October 25, 2007, 10:25:37 AM fordguy,! You're right, I'm thinking of Procomp! Stupid names are too close :hick:"MSD OBTAINS FEDERAL INJUNCTION AGAINST PROCOMP ELECTRONICSEl Paso, TX-based MSD Ignition/Autotronic Controls Corp. has obtained a permanent federal injunction barring Procomp Electronics of Ontario, CA, from offering ignition products that uses a design confusingly similar to that used by MSD.This all stems from a lawsuit Autotronic filed against Procomp in U.S. District Court earlier this year, where Autotronic claimed that Procomp intentionally used an infringing design. Autotronic alleged that a Procomp product uses a design essentially identical to the shape and color of Autotronic’s ignition boxes. It also claims that Procomp’s product also bears labels that use a design that is confusingly-similar to the design used by Autotronic.Autotronic said it was being harmed by these actions and asked the court for an injunction against Procomp’s continued use of this allegedly-infringing design. It also asked for all of Procomp’s profits from selling the product in question. The two companies recently reached a settlement that included the injunction mentioned above. Procomp has agreed to cease using the design in question. The injunction was issued in order to ensure that the agreement is fully enforceable by Autotronic." Quote Selected

I just got some in the mail new and they are trash. I can feel the play in the tip just by wiggling them. its almost like theres no bearings in them. I should have kept my 1.6 nsa.Anyone else see this problem?""from what i have seen, all of the pro-form products are made very cheap""I have heard multiple stories of people having problems with the Proform RR's. I have a friend that bought a car w/ these proforms on it. I have a pic somewhere of how they break. They are a poor product."http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/5-0l-tech/6075-broken-1-7-rocker-seats.html"Does anyone know any info about Proform? As in do they have a wbesite? I got some profrom rockers and some seats broke. I need to get in contact with them. Thanks."http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/mustang-tech/88755-blow-troubles-1989-mustang-gt.html"Oh and one more thing... one of my roller tips on my rockers (Proform full rockers) split in half."To be fair...The same forums also have about the same # of threads saying good things about ProForm rockers. Seems like they are ProForm's worst item, and run about 50/50 on working. Looks like most of their stuff is pretty good.I'd personally still step up to a better rocker. Good ones really aren't that much more. Quote Selected
ProForm Roller Rockers JUNK? Pictures inside Reply #8 – October 25, 2007, 11:08:10 AM I just purchased the 7 qt oil pan and let me say that it was a piece of .The pan had metal chunks in it burs on the parts where they cut open the pan, and it did not clear the stock oil pump or did it fit on the block.I had to hammer the spit out of it so it would fit with their pick up.Then when I let the motor down the pan hit the rack so had to finesse the metal some more.TOTAL shiznit!!!!!!But great price compared to others.I also have their knock off black magic fan and it works great over 5 years old.
