Valve spring help

So I got my valve springs today.  Assembled my heads and installed them to the block.  Turns out my valve springs are hitting my rockers.  I have e7 heads and the springs I got were not conical.  They have a seat pressure of 120 pounds.  Any recommendations on what I should get now?

My cam is:
COMP Cams Xtreme Energy Flat Tappet Cam: CCA-31-238-3
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218 int./224 exh.
Valve Lift: 0.493 int./0.500 exh. lift
Lobe Separation: 110 Degrees

The ones Claude recommends to fix my problem are Crane Cams:
Part Number: 99841-16
Outer Diameter Top   1.295
Inner Diameter Top   0.859
Outer Diameter Bottom   1.450
Inner Diameter Bottom   1.014
Damper   NO
Seat Pressure @ Installed Height   118 lbs. @ 1.950
Open Pressure and Height   375 lbs. @ 1.380
Coil Bind   1.320
Average Spring Rate   457 lbs./in.
Maximum Net Lift   0.580

So what do you guys think?  I'm worried about the open pressure.  I'm right where I want to be at on my seat pressure.  But I'm not sure about anything at all really.  I was trusting my machine shop guy to pick out the right springs for my setup.  I'm humbling myself to you guys!

The installed height is 1.95, less your lift .500" = 1.45" which is a little less than the spec'd 1.38"... Dunno the actual figure, but I'm guessing minimum 325lb, which is still a bit high for a mostly street engine...

What springs you have now???

Yeah, looks like I'm going to do alot more research before choosing the next setup.

Project Goldmember, on  HOLD!

Edit:  The springs that don't work are this...

1.470 OD Single w/ damper
120# at 1.800
310# at 1.25
Max Lift: .550"

And what's the installed height and coil bind height?

If those are OK then perhaps you have another issue.

I can't see how a spring that gives .030 more max lift will alleviate your problem when the ones you have SHOULD be more than enough.  Something else is aloof.  Sounds to me as if there may be a pushrod length issue.  What size are the ones you have?  Are the valves fully seated when closed?

I'm using the stock 302 pushrods.  Here's a picture of the setup now.

Why would you use stock stamped steel rockers with the cam you are using??

I was assuming the cam would be mild enough with a stock valvetrain.  The machine shop guy said no and that I needed new springs.  So I got the springs and they touch.

To be honest I'm half tempted to just fire it up as is.  If it works it works, if it doesn't then I'm outta luck.
