Guess I won't be seeing those door cups (at least I wasn't paying for them). Fila was going to send me samples (any color) of L+R door cups so my co-worker friend could try making molds.

I may get yelled at for saying this, but i actually DO feel sorry for him. Not for being banned or anything, but for feeling the need to be such a dishonest douchebag. Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't being such a crook leave you feeling rotten inside?
It's always fun until someone loses an eye. then it's fun ya can't see.

Perhaps he could've stayed without the ability to sell at all. That way, people he owes money or parts to could keep an eye on him (so to speak) and at least be able to keep pressure on him to get their stuff.I have recieved everything but the throttlebody he said he would send.I had apply a few PM's and get a little serious to get him motivated, but he eventually came through. He e-mailed me saying he was going to send the throttlebody Friday (tomorrow),I'll let you know what happens.I think he actually needs people to guide him. Some young people just are no good at business and get greedy until they can't manage themselves.Personally,at the risk of being ridiculed,I'd let him back on the forum with no selling abilities, and a sticky warning everyone.Don't get me wrong,I stand behind the mods, though, and do understand their decision.Perhaps I may be wrong, and I'm willing to accept that, but it's just my opinion.

We tried that, Vinnie - in fact, he has been barred from selling things via this forum since, oh, around Cat Jam. Obviously that didn't work.

We gave him plenty of chances to straighten up and fly right. He said he was doing so even as evidence was piling up that he wasn't. Right up to the end he was telling us that he was straightening everything out, and the fact that some of you still don't have your items proves he was lying. Even a cat only has nine lives.

Some of you are saying "Well, I got my stuff, I only had to poke and prod him a bit". The point is that you shouldn't have to. When a person offers something for sale they should be ready, willing, and able to sell it. It should not be "somewhere in the garage, I've got to find it". It shouldn't be "At a buddy's house". These are red flags that should tell you that he hasn't got what he's promising, or he hasn't been able to steal out of the car he saw it in yet (more on that below).

This was not a snap decision. It has been brewing for months. The admins, mods, and several regular members have been discussing this issue in private for a loooooong time. We gave him as many chances as any reasonable person would, including initially simply banning him from selling/buying with members here. He was dishonest throughout the entire thing. It wasn't only his promising parts, taking payment, and not delivering that got him banned, it was more. For example, we have info strongly suggesting that he was stealing parts and selling them here (IE going to pick-n-pulls, filling his pockets, and then selling his purloined goods in our forums). We've also heard stories about him "lifting" parts from or out of other people's cars. These are the "Red Flags" I mentioned above. There was even one incident in which he almost got another member of this board in trouble with the law. I will not go into details in order to protect the innocent.

In other words, he was just plain dishonest, and he was taking us all for a ride. It was his own actions that brought about his banning. There was nothing personal about it. He uses the "I'm just a kid, and I'm learning" excuse every time and has people feeling so sorry for him that it almost works. Not anymore. We simply cannot continue letting a person use this message board as a vehicle to rip people off (or sell stolen goods).

Yes it stinks that not all T-bird lovers can be here but if he is doing those things is he a T-bird lover or a scammer? I think the power that be have decided!

I almost forgot that he was supposed to send me a set of turbo coupe foglight brackets off his TC "parts car" last winter.

He told me he'd send them to me for free. Then I waited, got an excuse, waited, got an excuse...finally after 3 weeks I said forget it! I'm glad I didn't wait and I'm really glad I didn't send him any money.

BTW...you guys know anyone looking for some 5 lug wheels?  :hick:

Nah he told me he didn't care for "evilbay" on aim one time. He was tryin ta get rid of those ansen sprint slots, 5 lug. I suggested it and he was like "no i wont get what im lookin for from em on there ppl dont give u what theyre worth on evilbay"

Edit--he messaged me on aim tonight, wanted me to say that quote "Just that I was on ebay a LONG time ago. I bid on something and ended up not getting it. Thats the negitive rep"

no comment on it just figured it might be good to keep the facts straight.
