Actually, I never shifted it during filming, so it was just shifting at 4500 hahaha.  Dont worry, I still have more footage planned.  It's still a WIP.  My friend and I just wanted an idea of what we were getting ourselves into haha.

My AOD upshifts at 5,000 rpm with no shift kit:hick: . You need to adjust your TV cable.

I can be done but I'm afraid to do it as I have a column shifter and I can easily miss a gear:hick:

im actually not in the habbit of doing a lot of these runs, or at least any WOT shifts. it seems to take quite a long time. normal street driving the 1-2 shift it VERY quick, you almost dont feel it sometimes, but WOT it probably takes a full half of a second or maybe more for the RPMs to come down, signaling its now in 2nd. if i accelerate hard up to like 30 40 mph i hold it in 1st, then drop it in D while letting off the gas then cruise :hick:  dont wanna hurt it tho!!! i gotta get a shift kit so i can stop worrying about the tranny wearing out

It doesn't make it shift harder, it will just hold it in second, and DONT do it, it will kill the tranny.  TRUST ME.

If you get a shift kit...is that how you hold it in second? somewhere I read that shift kits allow you to do that without blowing it up.

If not how, just out of curiosty. Trans go says u can hold any gear to any rpm. So you can hold 1 obviously but without a 2 position you cant hold 2nd with the lever....

To hold first and second, I have it in first, get on the gas, shift into D when it's time to go into 2nd, then when it shifts to 2nd, go back to the 1 position and then you can hold it in second.  I do this rarely (maybe 2-3 times tops since I've had the car).  I do hold first on occasion (at the track mainly), since the HO definitely has more in it past 4500rpm.
