87 5.0 Electrical Problem?

My trusty bird has developed a nasty habit... When I am driving the engine will just cut-off. Sometimes it comes right back and sometimes I have to shift to neutral and start it back up. I recently replaced the heater core and added some guages... I thought I had a ground issue but I have wiggle tested every F!@#$%G wire under the dash and in the engine compartment, checked all the ignition components with a meter and everything seems to be in specs. After researching I am thinking the ISC motor or EGR valve (both are original). Anyone ever have this problem???

when did the problem start exactly and why did you associate this problem with the guage install?

TFI Module???

After I had the dash out for the heater core.

I just read the tech article on the Cool Cats forum concerning the TFI-IV Ignition module problems. I think I will swap the module off my 88 Sport and see if the problem goes away... When I checked the module with a meter it seemed O.K....
