I think once people get together in a group, get to see the cars in real life, get to put a name with a screen name with a face with a car...all the petty BS goes out the window. It's cut-to-the-chase, bare bones humanity. Warts and all. And you know, it seems like most people overlook those warts. Then again, we're all together for a common experience. Out on the street, by yourself, it could be a different story.But I do like hearing how someone presumed to be one way, and then people will say at the show, "Man, he/she is way cooler in real life." That happens a lot at Cat Jam. So maybe this event tends to smooth things out. I don't know, can't say for sure, but I do know that every single person that has ever attended the show has impressed me in one way or another, and changed my viewpoint to a certain extent. That's the human side of a car show, and the side that I think is greatly lost on the Internet.I'm in a tricky position myself, where I'm an admin here, I'm a show organizer for these cars, and I'm more often than not in the middle of things whether I want to be or not. I try not to judge without all the facts. It's a difficult thing to do...you have to remember, if I piss off someone here, they're probably not going to come to Cat Jam, and I don't want that to happen either. It's a very personal thing on both accounts.I would expect that people can at least pretend to be mature enough here to resolve differences.
