remind me to NOT do that again Reply #9 – August 13, 2007, 05:52:47 PM Yup the trick is water, a lot of people discourage it for some reason but if you dont replace the water you lose drinking the alcohol, it hurts. Quote Selected

remind me to NOT do that again Reply #12 – August 14, 2007, 12:17:52 AM man was it rough getting ready for work i thought a shower would help but didnt to much i had to push my self to get dressed and then go get in the truck but i had to walk my ass to my buddies house then drank a soad on the way wich helped bc i was burping?? got to work took the route out and stoped at wawa as i got hungry by then and then i was straight the rest of the night.another fix for a hangover is FOOD. eat some good food after drinking or if you want while drinking pretzles or bread to absorb the 20 bucks of a 30 pack your consuming with ur buddies and every ones falling out Quote Selected
remind me to NOT do that again Reply #13 – August 14, 2007, 07:49:31 AM I think the bread thing is a myth. I've never felt any different from drinking and not eating or drinking while full. But dammit every time I'm drunk I try and eat something because I think it will help. Quote Selected
remind me to NOT do that again Reply #14 – August 14, 2007, 11:03:18 AM Never! Get’s here a lot sooner than you would expect. After 25+ years of drinking and engaging in this same discussion I have learned… Alcohol is a cunning foe, it works on a Trojan Horse basis. By attacking our decision making process. Soon as we have one our decision making process goes in the gutter and all this resolve, all this “never again” all this “I have a system!” starts getting shoved aside and forgotten. As we drink more (#2 and #3) it get’s worse until as turboranger so gracefully put it “I swear I’ll never do that again… I suck” All the tools, formulas, trick’s, systems, etc in the world don’t help a bit if we “decide” not to use them, or don’t “decide” to use them as the case may be. The first ten years drinking was fine, after that I started to occasionaly break out with a bad case of handcuffs when I would drink. I know, I know that would “never” happen to any of you, me neither. (refer to "Never" above) …“the only way to win, is not to play” I haven’t drank at all for almost 5 years Quote Selected
