what exhaust do you run?

The '83 has a full 3" system from the turbo back.  I'm using a DynoMax straight through ler (round case) and a 3" Stinger tail pipe.  I need a bit of stainless for the tip to finish it.

I haven't run at more than idle and no-load revs though as I put it on while fighting with the cracked head/oil issue.  Fairly quiet and deep toned though.

im running a 3in down pipe, 3in cat, after the cat its 2.5in, then splits to 2.25 to the lers then 2in out the ler and over the rear to 2.25 mustang stainless tips. not exactly performance oriented , but works well the 3in downpipe really woke the car up.

BTW its all crush bent by me for next to nothing, so its works and will stay that way for a long time

I bet those sound lovely inside the car.

I had mine like that for about 2 days while I was working on the tailpipes and I would NEVER actually run them like that without some sort of turnout.

Anyway I have a stinger's "prototype" (as in the first one he ever made) 3" to dual 2 1/2" exhaust on my car (with a few tweaks). 2 1/2" Hooker Maximum Flow lers, 2 1/2" Flowmaster tailpipes and some nice little stainless tips.

I've had this system for about 3+ years now and I still love the way it sounds.

*Runs and hides*

Stock 2.5" downpipe, no cat, off-the-shelf quietest he could find turbo ler and a downturn before the axle.

I REALLY need a new exhaust!

I haven't yet. I will but I'm debating turndowns ( like a 45* maybe) or have some tubing bent and have a side exhaust. All the way to about 4" in from of the rear wheel. Kinda like an AAR cuda. That placement. Just keep then black so they match the underside of the car and the lower black trim. I have the hangers just haven't put them on yet
