Project "Phoenix" update....

The exhaust tips were bought from E-bay Australia.Genuine Ford parts.A couple of the shots barely show the tranny cooler I installed in front of the radiator Saturday.Took a little while to determine how to mount it and keep it looking factory. Finally figured that out after about an hour of trying this and that.I installed the dead pedal while I was doing everything else.It fit great, looks factory (which I like),and I haven't tried it yet because I forgot it was there today.I'll try to remember it next time. The interior is almost finished. On the table is my new adjustable FPR,new door handles,NOS ignition tumbler and door locks,High Performance 302 valve cover stickers (more genuine Ford parts) a metal I.D./info plate (I'll have it laser engraved when the car is finished). It has color, engine type, horsepower, builder, tranny, everything, twist locks for the hood (like the old Mach 1 Stangs). The hood locks are also genuine Ford parts from Australia.they were designed for the Ford falcon as well. They will be fully functional as they were designed. There are two Cobra emblems for the fenders I bought about 5 years ago.Still not sure I'll use them....probably not.I also have two Australian FPV badges with the Ford Falcon Superbird emblem (yes, that's what it's called). The car looks like now,but it's actually getting very close to paint.I'm working out a few more small dings and a lot more sanding, then off to paint.I have a new JVC stereo with remote on the way (ordered one for my daughter's car,and my own). One step at a time.My wife wants the car painted by the time school starts. The color will be "Estate Green".It's a Ford SUV color.Kind of an olive green with metal flake. The trim between the front and rear wheels will be left off.If I change my mind,I can always go back and install it later.I'll pull the mirrors and sand them withh 1000,1500,and 2000 grit (wet-or-dry) and then polish them with some Mother's Billet polish. It'll give them a high gloss shine without paint,so,no chips from rocks. That's about all I can think of for now.I have a lot of prep work to do.
