I agree!  These new morons build nothing but stinking mini chevy's  (seems that way to me anyways)

Copperhead was my dream truck! I had a 72 and have a 67. I have my Sonoma, and everyone always tells me to drop the body or lay frame. This thing is factory lowered, it has the ZQ8 suspension package. Me being an 19 year old and 6'3" I cant afford, stand to bend down like that to get in, or put the truck through that. It is cool enough lowered. I love the stance, just wish I had some 18" C6 Vette wheels to put on. With a mini truck laying frame and dropping the body is a BIG MAYBE. On a fullsize, no way in hell. Fullsize are meant to be maybe lowered a bit, or jacked up. Just my 2 cents.

I actually like the lightning.  Better then another  s10 or other chevy dropped.  Looks ok to me.

As i said above and now edited, even though mine is factory lowered, it isnt laying frame or body dropped, because certain degrees of lowering are cool. But I do agree S10s are always lowered, and it kinda takes away from the vehicle. I think mine is the best of both worlds as far as stance. Kinda like Shame's Hybrid Stang. Its different and done just right.

Air suspension can be done right, just like lowering any car.

i think the truck looks amazing. i'm tired of seeing the regular old lightenings that all these stupid kids are just bolting parts on. but maybe that's because i was raised around all my stepbrother's minitrucks. seeing that just makes me want to go outside and finish the 4 link in my mazda :D .

a lot of you have absolutly no idea how much time, skill, and fabriacting it takes to build a minitruck. if some of you ever happen to have the chance to go to a show with minitrucks involved, you should really stop and take a look. us 'mini truckers' or whatever you want to call us, take a lot of pride in our trucks.

It's a dropped truck. That's a good thing. If it's not a 4x4 and you're rodding it, there's a good chance it'll be on airbags these days. It's not like the truck is driven that way.

I don't think it's titanium, but I've heard of using magnesium plenty of times. That stuff really lights up on the pavement.

I understand the pride you take, Mini trucking is a very awesome talent, and the skills involved are amazing. Its just like anyone who works on and mods cars. Does it matter what kind of metal they put on? Or do different kinds of metals produce different amounts of spark. I know they use magnesium plates to make spark plates on skate boards. Not my kind of thing, but just curious.

Well, what's worse...a Lightning that's lowered, or someone that uses a Lightning for a DD truck, with a scratched-up bed? Because that's what happened to my buddy's truck. The bed is scratched to hell (he bought it that way) due to usage. He was going to put a spray-on bed liner coating in it, but due to the added weight he decided against that.

Actually the lowered Lightning is way cool. The True Blue color is just gorgeous in person. And it's tastefully done. I don't see an issue. There are so many worse examples of Lightnings out there.

i've seen titanium used more than anything else. i've never really known of anyone to use magnesium so i can't really answer that question.

id use a lightning as a DD if you could afford to feed the beast! but id do the liner, who cares about weight! just mod the motor more!

Took the words right out of my mouth, i like dropped trucks in fact i have been toying around with an  idea. Once i get rid of the 99 i want to get a newer ranger and put a 302 in it and drop it.

I like the truck.
Remember, there used to be a guy on here who had bags on his '87 LS Cougar. I was friends with him back then and his car was pretty sweet.
