went to the track on 10 psi

So I took the old $900 turbocoupe to the race track tonight. Ran 16.2 twice on 10 PSI. All I've done is cone filter, exhaust dumping after the downpipe, and bypassed the EBC running 10 psi. Does that time sound right for my setup? I plan on putting in a walbro 255 and running 17-18psi SOON. What should I be able to run on that setup?
Car is a 5speed also.

Nice runs. I added you in. It's DEFINATELY time for a fuel pump, AFPR, and 17 psi!

i definatley would NOT recommend turning up the wick without a bigger fuel pump, AFPR, and a tune! get some sticky tires and drop some weight, too.

Thanks for the tips man! Im keeping it 5 psi below stock till I can get an adequate fuel pump. Can someone point me in the direction of a good afpr? Also, any ideas on loosing weight without destroying my nice interior? It's weird going from a 2000 pound E30 to a 3300 pound tbird:hick:

is this your daily driver? because there are quite a few weight reduction mods you can do, but would not be safer driving on the street.

Take the weights off of the rear end (2 bolts, on the pinion end) and the tranny x-member. Buy a Walbro 255HP pump and a Kirban AFPR. Then turn up the wick with a Gillis Valve and have fun. :D

(I sell all the above products BTW, :hick: )

Just depends on what your comfort level is. There's a couple things you can do without compromising your DD-ness. Like Aerobird said take the weights off the rear end, X-member and Tranny(~20#). If you don't care for power seats convert to manual (~15#). If you don't have functioning A/C (I feel sorry for you in GA!) delete it (~50#). Going to a Taurus fan over the dual fans can save you about 5#. But then you will need a 3G and that adds a couple #s. Then there's ministarters, aluminum radiators, lighter wheels (like in 32VFoxBird's sig), aluminum driveshaft, smaller battery and the list goes on. Individually they are pretty minor savings, but they start to add up.

My general rule is, if it doesn't work it's dead weight. So fix it or get rid of it. :)

Good luck.
