All beer tastes the same after the first few.. :p

Big negative on that.....only true if you're drinking  beer like Bud, Miller, Coors (or any of the variations), etc....

Bigger negative on that. Was the same case even with the decent German beers I've had before. Bitburger was as good as my friends said it was.. but, true to beer form, it was just another beer after 3 or 4. I wouldn't say no to it.. but I won't go out of my way to drop $10-ish on a 6-pack.

Beer is beer, to me. If I wanted to drink something to be picky over, I'd drink wine.

At any rate, we're debating something that the original poster specifically said he didn't want anything to do with. :D

That reminds me..

homemade Lynchburg Lemonade:
1 part Jack
1 part Triple Sec
1 part sour mix
4 parts 7-Up or equivalent

Not quite as evil as gin and tonic, but as Chappelle says: "IT'LL GET YA DRUNK!"

Everclear is flammable... literally. It's pure grain alcohol. Be REAL careful with that stuff.

Yeah I second that, i've had that stuff before and it freakin knocked me across the room. It's the next best thing to moonshine in my mind. But if you're looking for good stuff to down. Try amaretto sour's, not too terribly sweet and not too bitter (make sure you find some grenedine tho), long island tea's are great for that "it's not alcohol" type of drink, also tequllia sunrises are good for that i'm not tasting alkeyhol buzz. Other personal favs are Sour Puckers (i like apple), wild turkey (when i'm in a bad mood), screwdrivers as mentioned, and those little 8 or 10 some odd oz. jack daniels bottles like lynchburg lemonade or the wildberry ones. Try drink eight straight of those and walking after sitting for 10 minutes  !

THAT also reminds me..

A little invention we called the "Happy Breezer".. we would buy tons of those 4-packs of Bacardi Breezers, and a bottle of 151 rum. We'd drink the Breezer bottles with 3 labels on them down to about the top of the second label, and re-fill that portion with 151 rum and carefully mix it up. (not wise to be shaking carbonated drinks) It will get you a bit more buzzed than you think, and shouldn't taste much different than usual.

If you just want a drink to drink for sheer "what the f***" value, there's always what we coined "Diet Crack".. Jolt Cola and 151 rum. :p

On the subject of Beers.. I've only tried mostly american (suck-ass) beers and I'm not impressed, nor are my taste buds.  Chuck, or anyone else who has reccomendations, what's a good "real" beer to try, something that I can get at a local store, nothing I'd have to go to the state store for (even though it's about 2 miles away.)  People have told me Sam Adams and various Great Lakes brews are good.  Any other suggestions?

As for me, I really havne't drank enough to develop a favorite, but I can say  :disappoin to SoCo or any type of whisky, really.  Mix it however you want, I just can't mask that taste.  Screwdrivers are okay, for about the first two, then I tend to get tired of OJ.  And, towards the bottom of the glass, the vodka taste comes through, but such is to be expected.  I was, for a while, a fan of mixing Captain and any sort of Cola, after enough of them they taste exactly like Vanilla variants of said colas.  And, like I said, beer... meh.  I liked MGD for a while, but it's a bit too much sometimes.  Typical white-bread boring american beers like Bud Light and Busch Light (practically the same) will do, sometimes Bud Ice.

oh, I forgot "the Matrix mix", before seeing Matrix 2 my friends and I got Johnny Walker Black and Dr. Pepper... they wored really well together. And hey, drunk the movie ALMOST made sense!

Also Cap. Morgans and beer = cream soda, Ameretto and beer = Dr. Pepper...

Most ****ed up I ever got was off of shots called "Mind Erasers", 1/3 club soda, 1/3 vodka, 1/3 kaluha on the rocks with a straw.... wow, bad memories, but in moderation it may be ok.

I used to love JD, but it can make some people angry. I never believed it until I got wasted on it one night and tried to pick a fight with my best friend.
I rarely drink it these days.

Bitburger, like I mentioned, was a good beer when I had it.. but expensive. I can only get it at the ABC on the other side of town for $10-ish a 6-pack. Not very common for a beer that's imported only about 20-30 miles north of here. Grolsch isn't bad in those bottles with the weird wire stoppers on 'em. But like I said, eventually it all tastes the same to me. I guess I just don't cut it in the beer-snobbery arena. :dunno:

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
