Global warming my ass April 06, 2007, 05:55:36 PM Looks like in April we're set to have our first major storm of the 06/07 season. Al Gore can suck my balls, which by Sunday should be pretty ed cold and in need of a sucking. The TV news said well over 15 centimeters. Here's Environment Canada's official forecast: Quote Selected
Global warming my ass Reply #2 – April 06, 2007, 09:05:47 PM Yeah, we had 6" here 2 days ago. Has absolutely nothing to do with long-term global temperatures or Al Gore, but if it makes you feel good to blame someone - why not right! :D Quote Selected

Global warming my ass Reply #4 – April 06, 2007, 09:55:25 PM I take it nobody watched that documentary posted a couple weeks ago on how global warming is a tool to scare people and has absolutely no merit. Well I did and it made more sense than anything Mr. Gore or Ms. Thatcher have said. Global warming is a political tool used to make money for everyone but the people they are trying to "protect."Ex. from that documentary; someone could write a paper on how squirrels collecting nuts has an effect on climate change and get no funding...but someone else could write the same paper and include the words global warming and get all the money they could ever need to sit and watch squirrels collect nuts and see if it has an effect on global warming and climate change......And...from 1900-1945, global temp rose, CO2 rose; from 1945-1975, global temp fell while CO2 ROSE due to major industrialization of the U.S; from 1975-present global temp rose sharply and CO2 has returned to 1945 levels....yeah...Gore can suck my left maple nut.....that's all I have to say on the subject....it's not real and never was. I'd LOVE to live in FLA or Cali, except for two little problems: Floridians and Californians :D Quote Selected
Global warming my ass Reply #11 – April 06, 2007, 11:42:30 PM But I'd take the lack of rusting here in the south along with the much more mild winters as well. NC is quite a good intermediate. Even though we did just get a random snow shower after having 70s all week hahaha. Quote Selected
Global warming my ass Reply #12 – April 07, 2007, 12:27:49 AM Were at -16* right now, with no change of above freezing weather in the next few days. But we're ok with that, cause cold weather just prolongs the ice fishing and snowmobiling season. But spring must be just around the corner because the local dangerous and delicious creatures are getting desperate enough to eat my groceries off the front steps. Quote Selected

North Carolina s a climate i could live with, along with just about any of the middle-southern states. You know - enough of a change in seasons to let you appreciate it, but not enough to make you dread it.MercCoug50: I retired the snowmobiles for the season back in mid February. It had been an open winter, with only a few snow squalls off the Bay of Fundy providing what little snow we had. We literally did not have a single actual snow storm this year (I consider a "storm" anything that dumps 6" or more, and the most we'd gotten from any single even has been about 3"). Looks like that's set to change tonight though: Quote Selected
