The 1985 (and possibly 1986) 10-holes won't clear 11" brakes without grinding down the calipers for clearance. That's because Ford used 10" brakes on the Mustang during those model years, hence no need to have more clearance with the rims. All turbines clear just fine.

The difference in wal-marts must be the location. I've taken mine up to one in delaware (closest to where I live with the tire center) and have had no trouble bringing rims and tires in and having them put on. The only thing they told me they wouldn't do is put on used tires. Either the stores are different or the sales person is a complete moron. Although I think moron is probably right. I carried in 4 tires mounted on wheels and 4 new tires not mounted to anything. I told them I wanted to keep 2 of the old tires and showed them which 2 I wanted to get rid of. They said it would be hard because they didn't know which one was the left front, right front, etc.  :brick:

take care while driving the TC in the winter as these cars are a little surprising when the boost kicks in. hence the reason i don't like to drive mine in the winter.that and i have a heavy right foot

Ok, I see how that can work now. I thought he was saying to only use weights on the inside rim.

Haha. At the mobile station down the street I can get all 4 mounted and balanced with new valve stems for $40, if I just drop off the rims and tires.

I get mine mounted and ballanced for free....

Of course I have to do it myself... I have my own tire machine and ballancer...

How much did that run you? Sounds like something I could use, since I no longer work in a shop that does tires.  (at least not car tires.)
