1.  1978 Olds Regency 98 (Olds 350/Turbo 350)
2.  1987 Mercury Cougar v-6 (3.8/AOD)
3.  1991 Chevrolet Corsica V-6 (3.1/auto)
4.  1987 Mercury Cougar V-8 (5.0/ AOD)  --See pic below
5.  2000 Mercury Cougar V-6 (2.5/ATX)
6.  1992 Mercury Topaz V-6 (3.0/Auto)
7.  2005 Ford Mustang GT (4.6/5r55s)

I currently still have 4,5,and 7.  I'd have 6 too if the motor hadn't seized up (not worth the effort of fixing IMHO).

#1 blew up on the bottom end of the motor and I was 17 and didn't know too much about car repair back then.  #2 I sold.  #3 was a trade in that I happily recieved $1000 on AFTER I'd made the deal on a new car purchase and the numbers had been run before I even mentioned the trade in.  Not bad for 110K, peeling paint, newly blown headgasket and a slipping transmission.

Not all cars were mine, but I drove them. Mostly family owned.

1981? toyota corrola. $220. I doubt I got $1 a mile for it. Bad engine and tranny only had 3 gears. Threw a rod after 3rd went out on the freeway.

2. 1986 cougar gs. Still have. $110 police impound. My dad bought it to swap out engine's with his 1991 crown vic. After he realized that is smoked bad and showed over 120,000 miles, decided I could play around with it while I was in auto. I dumped $100 into it, maybe alittle bit more, and got it to pass saftey and emissions by november. Got the title for christmas the following year.

1978 E-150. This was my grandpa's van. He had it ordered with a 4speed tranny, and a really stiff clutch. My dad got it after my grandpa bought a mini-van in the later years. Untill my dad converted the clutch over to a hydrolic(sp?) clutch, I couldn't even hold the clutch down for more then about 30 seconds. 130,000 miles, owned by family the whole time. Been to florida throught california many times supposedly.

1991 crown vic. Price unknown. Traded chevy wagon in on it. Over 200,000 miles. Second engine first tranny. I had alot of fun in that car. Would get sideways and was easy to hold that way. I could take up 2 1/2 lanes with the car almost sideways with lots of snow and hold it there indefinately. Ended up getting impounded for being illegally parked and never pulled out.

1986 cougar ls, 5.0 lots of options. Drove the car without any plate or even a title transfer for almost 2 years. Alot of the reason why my 86 gs sat for so long. 120,000 miles. Also ended up getting impounded. My dad sold it to my older brother, who really didnt care at all for the car. He would occasionaly have me drive him somewhere because he was scared shiznitless of the car. Then the tranny started slipping and the water pump started weeping. That was enought to make him think it was a "POS" and not worth getting saved. If I had a place to park it, and money at the time, I would have pulled it out in a second.

1987 v6 cougar. 187,000 miles. Got about 10 tanks of gas worth ?(About 450 miles per tank!, and that was with an 18 gallon!). Water pump went out. Started fixing water pump in the middle of november and it snowed really bad. When the snow melted I ended having lost all the bolts to it. Gave it to a freind for free. He has fixed everything on it and is getting it ready for saftey and emissions.

1987 tempo. Inline 4. Sisters care.$100. She might have gotten 100 miles to a tank. Car was a peice of . My sister drove it to the ground. Still own, but its in storage.

1994 tracert. Nothing special. 5 speed. Sister drove into the back of a truck @ 45 mph. Little was left of it.$550 down the whole 2 weeks after she got plates.

1982 yahmaha motor cycle. Bought new about 5 years before I was born. put almost 10,000 of the 30,000 thats on it now. 750cc virago.

1987 mustang "lx". 4 banger convertible with blown engine. I actually got talked into buying it for a hundred bucks. Then I never got the title. waste of time. Still got the rims though.

1982 mazda truck. Grandma's car that she loaned to us in the summer. over 300,000 miles. I beat the living shiznit out of that truck. If I cranked the sterring wheel hard right it would pick the inside tire on the back off of the ground. Made for interesting burn outs. I could drive that thing like a son of a gun. I could spin 1st through 2nd, completely. 3rd and 4th chirp. top speed of maybe 75mph. Sold for $175.

There's a couple more in here, but i'm too tired for this right now. Good  night.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
Hooligans!
1988 Crown Vic wagon. 120K California car. Wifes grocery getter. (junked)
1987 Ford Thunderbird LX. 5.0. s.o., sn-95 t-5 and an f-150 clutch. Driven daily and going strong.
