He's looking for something to PMS about. Incase you were wondering, if you do the math for the time we were here, you would have about 1200 posts a year ago. so I don't wana hear shiznit about it. I *think* that just maybe I have a high post count because I work on the car almost everyday. I do work, I post it. Sometimes I have questions about something so I post it. I even try to HELP people insted of nit-picking. So Claude, please find a new person to single out. I think I've proven that I can do the work, and that I'm willing. So unless you have another BS thing to complain about, I'd like to figure the problem out.

 I have it all wired up now, accept the red and white. I still don't know what to go to yet. I just got in and I'm freezing my ass of, but it's almost done. Just waiting on the carb and these 2 wires now. For the high pressure punp, do I just disconnect power to it and bypass it with fueline and use the low power one for the carb?

IF You talk of the 3 pr0ng connnector of duraspark box...

Mike, just for the test jump the two wires and go to B+, don't worry about the duraspark box, no problem's there, the one generally conneced to a ignition start is just a signal reterder, to keep the engine well timed wnen You start (low rpm kind of 50~100rpm) that's all...


For the rest I don't remember at all, I'll go to My garage tomorrow and scrounge My ole books for You, In my van E-150 I have a 1st generation duraspark like Your, and I have only two wires come out, one red and another white (striped or whatever)...

If Your distributor positioned at the good place, and the 4 pr0ngs connector connected to the duraspark box, and the two wires connected together (for the test), You will have a spark on the coil for sure...

Check if You have a 12V on one pr0ng of the coil too (coil disconnected), If You have all of them I'll go to scrounge My ole books...

I converted many many Fords in the 70's and 80's with this duraspark and this a simple system, safe, and never broke, it was the safetyest Ford branded spark system ever made, I have this system stock on My 85 bird...

Check this and ring Me if You need help, I'm a notorious guy on these systems...

i haev one more thing to say claude he says stuff cause he wants to know if he is correct, hes trying to learn more about these cars, and mechanics in general, so stop giving him shiznit, hes been going very good on his ride so.

Ok, thanks to the help of Dom, now I know how to wire the f'n thing togather. I can even try the holley on the car and see if I did it right or not. Thanks to all those that have helped so far and to those that haven't, just remember one day you'll need help, and being a dick to everyone will eventualy bite you in the ass

Today bring new light in th eduraspark project. I was at a freinds house and we found an old truck. It had the duraspark harness, rotor, cap, plue wires, coil.. everything. Including an older set of semi-rusty Ford Motorsport chrome steel valve covers. I scored all this, and a factory blue 460 air cleaner for the amazing price of... NOTHING!! I'll hae pics of my finds today when I get home. Tomorow I go back to see if I can get the carb off the 460 and investigate.
If anyone needs 460 parts, let me know as he has a few under the tarp at his house. One complete and 2 that are mostly there.

Well, There is one late 70's 302, 2 late 70's 460's, maybe a 400/351M. I'm going back today to try to get the carb from the 460 so I can have a spare carb. It's a 4 barrel and it should be OK, it looks perfect, just , well, 1976-ish. I love the thrill of finding the parts I've wanted just sitting in the back of an old truck. It's one step closer to what I wanted.

Grab everything you can.even if you don't need it.You may see stuff you can sell to support the Fila.I grab parts I wouldn't use in a hundred years because there's always someone who wants it,whatever it is.I'm ordering my Cobra rims today.One step closer indeed.I know how you feel.Man,I am excited.
