The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #167 – January 28, 2007, 09:24:38 PM Well, I'm basicaly building the harness, but it doesn't seem that bad after trying to wire CFI. Hopefuly after tomorow all I'll need it either the Edelbrock or I can even try the holley. I just need to know what to do/how to get the low pressure fuel pump to work for the lower fuel pressure you'll need for a carb. Quote Selected

I'll price regulater tomorow at napa when I get my fueline, wiring goodies for my "harness" and get my engine cleaner. Quote Selected
The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #170 – January 28, 2007, 10:00:06 PM i wonder why that holley does not have sight glasses? my 750 does.you get vac presure from the vac tree on the firewall or,,, most likely from the vac tree on the rear of the intake.the dizzy drops in just like your old one.cleaning is easy with a 50/50 mix of simple green/water in a spray bottle.I think advance sells a fuel pres regulator to step down electric fuel pump presure to around 6-8psi for carb conversions. You dial in the presure you want and put it inline with your fuel feed line. id suggest using the JIC route cause flairing lines is easy even without a flair tool.looks like you got some adapting to do for the tranny kick down rod. you could be one of the first to do a cable conversion instead. ive considered it.dont know if you knew this or not but that intake can be found in aluminum,, early 80's mustangs got it. Its whats on my car now,, car is still in work cause of money / employment. Quote Selected

The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #173 – January 28, 2007, 10:26:18 PM So fa I only have the dizzy and the box. I'm buying a coil. And debating on which carb to use. I don't have the "Mini hanress" in between the dizzy and the box, so I'll more then likely just make one. Quote Selected
The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #174 – January 30, 2007, 04:04:04 PM Ok, I need some help here. I have it all set out about to wire it up, but I need some guidence here. The dizzy to the box is self explanitory. The red wire and the wite wire off the box go to what in my system. The red/lt greeb wire and the grey/yellow wires? then the green wire off the box to teh coil then the other side of the coil to what? I caould find a harness but I found it eayser to just build one. I can do it but I don't wana guess. Quote Selected
The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #175 – January 30, 2007, 04:24:36 PM If You say the wires from the duraspark II, the red wire go to the ignition switch (on at all time the switch is on RUN pos) and the white go to the starter solenoid, (when You start only), Or if I'm wrong inverse the red and white...I converted all of My point distributor engines to the Duraspark system, and I never has a problem with it,,,The wire I'll suggested to go to the starter solenoid, maybe crimped at the near of firewall....Not complete, but Hope this help Mickey!!!,Have a nice Day.Dom. The Fila Project... Wondering why Fila was banned? Read the last few pages Reply #176 – January 30, 2007, 04:31:36 PM But what wire is it that I connect to? ANY wire that is hot in run? Or is it a speical one. I was thinking the red with light green wire. And is the white to the "hot" side of the starter solonide, where the red with light blue wire came off, or the starter side. I know it seems like I need my hand held but I just don't wana cut the wrong wire. Quote Selected

Read the last few pages Reply #177 – January 30, 2007, 05:06:22 PM ive never done a duraspark conversion, i hope someone chimes in , smart move not wanting to cut wires till someone else with experience says what to do.as a result,, here are the instructions i would go by as well as an attempt to use your existing ignition switch wires to power up the box. the below link should be required reading for anyone interested in all things car related.,,, the tech library link is loaded with all things you would run into on these cars.http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/DurasparkII.htmland,, since you probably need a diagram of the ign system you have,,,, Quote Selected
