changed TB and NOW trouble HELP!!!!! Reply #1 – September 23, 2006, 12:19:00 AM Did you change the TPS, or are you using the stock one? Did you forget to hook up a vacuum line? Quote Selected
changed TB and NOW trouble HELP!!!!! Reply #2 – September 23, 2006, 12:27:27 AM Make sure your TPS is set at .98 volts with the throttle closed and check for vac leaks if you disconected the upper intake to change the TB and EGR spacer. Also a 75mm TB is waaaaaaay too big for a 5.0 SO and even too big for most modded 5.0 HOs. The only time you really need a 75mm TB is when you are running a blower. Most guys with modded 5.0 HOs (H/C/I) run a 65mm TB. Quote Selected
changed TB and NOW trouble HELP!!!!! Reply #3 – September 23, 2006, 12:29:21 AM 75mm is TOOOOOOOO big take it off now clean it up and send it back. I think it will be too big for the trick flow kit too. I run a 65mm TB with my edelbrock heads, cobra intake, and TFS 1 cam.. It feels like cause the air has no velocity now, and all your low end torque is gone now. If you must upgrade the stock non-HO tb just get a stang 60mm and stang upper intake for now... changed TB and NOW trouble HELP!!!!! Reply #6 – September 25, 2006, 09:45:47 AM Even on my Trick Flow kit I run a 70 mm TB and THAT's borderline of too big. The stock SO TB is 50 mm. Grab yourself a HO 60 mm TB and be done with it. Quote Selected
