glad i never intended for this to be a show car! September 02, 2006, 06:12:03 PM worked most of the day pullin the engine bay harness back and cleanin the engine bay today. this is how she rewarded me....i jus dont think the judges would give me any extra points for a cow pattern engine bay whoever undercoated the car hit the bay as well. over time the unattended oil leaks softened the coating. as i was cleanin, the areas that were oil soaked and some of the originally thinner coated spots came right off with the layer of grease. i can say one thing. the areas under that coatin look like a brand new car! I want to paint my engine bay when I pull the engine...but the semi-gloss-in-a-can has sufficed for 5+ years.. Quote Selected
glad i never intended for this to be a show car! Reply #4 – September 03, 2006, 12:32:28 PM yeah, for this cars mission in life, a nicely detailed/painted engine bay is last on the list of things to fix. somplace after the dented pass quarter, bad exterior paint, and tri-color interior w/custom cracked dash;) shes gonna be a driver. lots of street time in the nice weather, plus beaten like a read-headed stepchild for autoX and (cash willing)some OT events. i cannot wait!:D Quote Selected
