If the feature isn't very important to you, you can remove the bulb from the cluster.  To do so, remove the trim from around the digital dash, pull the digital dash out enough to get the bulb out.  Twist the bulb holder, take the bulb out of the holder and put the holder back in place.

try spraying the latch on the door with wd40......... spay it all over especially up and into it as much as possible

I'm pretty sure the switch that activates that light is within the door, like mounted on the latch. So that WD-40 method may or may not work.  Could be as simple as a wire off, but tearing into the door is a lotta work for an annoying bulb.

Well, maybe was better if this light werent Red (looks like something bad is really happening like low oil or low amp), but ill try the fix with wd40. If not, ill remove the bulb....thanks....

The switches are in the door, high up near the keylock (one of the mods I did was to install them and run the wire from the warning chime to the instrument cluster). Each switch is about an inch long, with a single screw holding it to the door. Look for a tiny hole in the door with a small rounded pin sticking out (about 1mm thick). You could try getting new switches...I don't know if dealers carry them anymore or not, but mine were about $20 each from Ford).
