Starting? August 21, 2006, 05:41:50 PM I was also wondering if its normal on a CFI engine to have to give the car a little gas in order to start.I've had this car for almost 4 years and its always been like that.I figured since its partially fuel injected, that this was a little abnormal.Does anybody know?A mechanic once told me it might be a vaspoogee problem, but I left it alone because it never had a problem starting. Reply #1 – August 22, 2006, 04:11:18 AM You may be just pulling the slack out of the throttle wire.I adjusted the mechanical idle stop screw up 1/4 turn and fixed mine.My air valve was sticking a bit when cold.Take off the air duct and push the valve with your finger.If its hard the first time and then free's up thats it.
