Compatible 8.8's

Hey guys, I'm finally starting to give some consideration to the 8.8 swap instead of building up my 7.5.  But in all the times I've been to PicknPull I've never actually seen a turbo coupe and I'm not even sure I'd want to given that I'd have to mess with converting to disc brakes, that's trouble and expense I don't really need.  So I'd like to know what other potential donors there might be?  I know the Mustang's is the wrong width but what about the multitude of trucks that use it?

The only 'bolt-in-affair' rears you'll be able to find are from Fox cars.  Truck rears use a different method of bolting to the suspension.

I used a mustang rear in my car and the difference really isn't awful.  Plus, I think it can be remedied with new axles, backing plates and drums.  If anyone has pics of my car from CJ this year, you can see it.

I put a fox-stang 8.8" in my car, no problems...it was a little narrower but it'll allow for 275/50R15's to squeeze in the wheel wells like they were made to fit....it may look a little funny to ya if you're using stock skinny tires in the rear...but go beefy and you'll never know.

Thicker tires would actually be a plus because I've often thought the skinny tires didn't look right.  But I may be back to building up the 7.5 simply because Turbo coupes are like unicorns around here and 5.0 Mustangs at PicknPull are all but unheard of.  They don't make it easy.

You find an 8.8 Mustang or TC housing sans axles/ brakes.  Pull your axles/brakes out of your 83 7.5 and bolt it all together and bolt it in the car.....done.
