New cruizer!

Well its not a bird or a ford for that matter but it still makes me smile:D .I picked this up today after some serious begging to my wife for approval and she cracked:evilgrin:.Its our(my) new Saturday night cruizer. Its got the original L48 350 in her which is a good for 300hp. It needs every bit of it as its a heavy beast. Shes in great need to do nothing to her shape, runs a little rich but i will get that taken care of. So what do you guys think?

I would love to stuff her with a big block but... i dare not ask to spent more money for a long time or:ies: will no longer be in my future from the misses. second reason is that the car is bone stock original other than fresh paint and new vinyl roof and i dont have the heart to do that to it. So I will enjoy it as is and really that isnt all that hard to do. The bird will be made to go fast instead!

Well today we took it for our first lengthy drive (150 miles or so)today out to Banff National Park and back and it was great...runs like a champ. Fuel economy really sucks ass though but it was well worth it! The only part that sucked is that i was not driving due to the injuries from that freakin car accident so my sweety got the pleasure...Damit! Soon it will be all mine though!

I have to agree with how nice the car looks. I've always been fond of those big years on the Monte Carlo. They have to be my favorite for those cars.

You can pretty much add a zero on what you payed for yours and then some, they wanted $8500 for it but cash in hand speaks volumes...and gets very good deals so i got it for $7300 Since i have had the car in the driveway i have had 2 offers from folks to buy it. I will drive it for the summer and see next year... i may sell it at that time. One old timer that wants it lives 5 houses over and basically drools over it everytime he drives buy and he has made me 2 offers for it! but i politely turned him down. I love the car but deep down i bought it more for an investment. Its not very often you can buy a car and drive it for a year or so and then flip it for at least what you payed for it and quite likely a little more. Best part is that I dont need to spend a dime on it except for fuel.Besides i have Ford blue blood.
