Extrude Honing

Has anybody ever used that Extrude Hone process?  I was checking out their prices on the web at http://www.gethoned.com and they seamed expensive compared to hand porting.  I was looking to get better performance from new manifolds and heads. Thanks.

I'd rather spend my $$ elsewhere.  Yes it's probably "better" than hand porting in that it's more even throughout the entire runner....but for the price.... I'll make due with the die grinder.....

If you want to keep a sleeper stock look under the hood it might be worth it. The 86 Bird that I just bought from Johns331 has an extruded HO intake. On an HO intake you can expect performance to be inline with a stock Cobra/GT40 intake. Otherwise there are much better and/or cheaper alternatives out there such as the Cobra, Edelbrock Performer or the TrickFlow street.

I am concidering selling the extruded HO because I bought a ported Cobra intake just before I bought the 86. PM me if your interested and we could talk about price.

Ooooh, what happended to the old threads??? Someone asked about this before and there were a couple links were some people got screwed by them. Certain instances were they didn't do the work or the process produced little to no results. But my searches via the web and corral have produced no such reports. Perhaps they cleaned up their act or another company has come on the scene.
