Interstate 50th Anniversary

I didn't know if anyone has heard about this or not.

From the Interstate 50th Anniversary website..

"The year 2006 will mark the 50th anniversary of the federal law that brought America its unparalleled Interstate Highway System. This 46,508-mile web of superhighways has transformed our nation and our economy. It is a symbol of freedom and a tribute to human ingenuity—although some of the changes it has brought our nation have been controversial."

Included in the convoy of vehicles retracing the original route is "An 18 wheeler owned by Country Coach Recreational Vehicles and specially modified to carry some of Country Coach owner Bob Lee's collection of antique cars, such as the 1956 Thunderbird."

Here is the link in case anyone is interested in knowing more.

The convoy will be stopping at Firestone in Akron on Monday the 26th.
