well, I could do that, but lexmark doesn't support linux all that well, and I don't have time to write one for it. Though I tried about 12 how to's. oh well sold the lex on ebay. and am going to buy a compatible printer.

Looks like a second PC in the house is going to get Ubuntu soon. It's my old PC from last year, and it's starting to behave erratically in a way that makes me wonder if it might be infected with something. Doing things like turning on by itself, refusing to run the anti-virus program on bootup, etc. I'll either s it and use the CPU and RAM in my current Linux box, or nuke XP and go Ubuntu on that machine as well.

There's a new version of Ubuntu out, but I haven't decided on upgrading to it yet. No real complaints with the version I have now.
