lower & tire questions

if i wanted to lower my car the cheapest posible way that is done right. what would i need and were would i get it.

i was lookin at lowering spring for mustys but which will fit and what else will i need to do

are chamber plate requierd when lowering

i want to go about 2" lower from my stanc now at factory height on ponies with 225/55s i want to go wider on tires but how wide can i go if i lower it and  are 50s to skinny do you think as far as pothole and curb rash incidents

i need new tires and when i get them i need an alinement. so i dont want to get it if i could possible do my lowering at the same time so i dont have to pay for it twice

best i can say is check out my thread springs, who has what with pix, its a sticky. trial and error is realy the only way. unless your lucky and somebody has lowering springs for our cars for sale on ebay and u snag em up.

JC Whitney has Suspension Techniques front lowering springs for our cars, but not the rears.  I'm still trying to find springs for the rear.  I've searched around here and NATO and still don't have a solid answer.  From what I've read, it seems that rears from a 94+ convertible mustang would work, but I've yet to find a straight answer on that.
