Wow...'87 V6 T-Bird Bidding For Two Grand Reply #1 – June 21, 2006, 06:09:17 PM Hmmmm..... my '87 LX V6 has only 23k. Doesn't have all the options that one does, especially not that snazzy rack on the trunk lid. I do have stock full size spare though!:D Quote Selected

Wow...'87 V6 T-Bird Bidding For Two Grand Reply #4 – June 21, 2006, 09:28:24 PM Hehe... "I must inform you that your car is not "fully loaded". Infact your car is nothing more than a Base model. You are missing the Full digital cluster, power passenger seat, autodim mirror, premium sound, rear map lights, auto temperature controll, automatic foot brake release, moonroof and keyless entry. And finally, your car doesn't have a trip computer." Quote Selected

Wow...'87 V6 T-Bird Bidding For Two Grand Reply #6 – June 21, 2006, 10:22:13 PM I dunno, maybe it's just because I live in the rustiest place on Earth, but that car looks worth every bit of two grand to me, even with the V6. Before I bought my '88 I'd have dropped $2k on that car in a heartbeat, then dropped another $1k into an HO/T5 swap. Sure, it doesn't have every conceivable option, but it's got more options than my '88. I was extremely lucky to find a low mileage (47k) 5.0 V8 'Bird with no rust, but believe me, I paid for it. Many of you would think I'm nuts to pay $3500 for a non-TC, but it was worth it to have a good body that needed no work.Warbird: My very base 85 V6 had the full size spare I say "very base" because that and metallic paint were its only options), and truthfully, it was an option I'd do without. As can be seen in your pic, the thing takes up the whole ed trunk, and these things haven't got huge trunks to begin with. That being said, that is one mighty fine LX you've got there :D Quote Selected

Yeah, them full size are bulky!:hick: My wife and I have been debating back and forth about what I want to do with the LX. She thinks I should leave it original since it is low mileage and near mint, and I'm planning on a motor/tranny swap, plus some other upgrades. I'm not planning on backing down. I've got way too many parts already for it!:giggle: Quote Selected

Wow...'87 V6 T-Bird Bidding For Two Grand Reply #12 – June 22, 2006, 10:26:39 AM The reason it sold for that much is because:1. It had a very thorough description.2. There were lots of pictures in the auction.3. It is clean in the pics.4. There was no reserve on the auction.I'm betting it had a low starting bid too. All of those things combined will cause people to go into a bidding frenzy, especially in the last few minutes of the auction. Even if all they are bidding on is a plain Jane root beer brown V6 T-Bird. Quote Selected
