stupid trim glue May 12, 2006, 10:42:06 PM ok how the hell do we get the stupid trim glue off the door without messing up the paint and without using heat? Im talking about the big black trim piece that runs horizontal on the door not the stuff around the windows Quote Selected
stupid trim glue Reply #1 – May 21, 2006, 08:49:13 PM maybe purchase a grease/adheasive remover? make sure its safe for paint but i think it is.. we use it for body prep before paint.. should pull it off and use a heavy duty plastic edge to help pursuade it off. :-D another question... how did ya get the trim itself off? ive got the thin metal ... and i want it gone gone gone. I was just going to leave the factory stuff on it because I have the corner lights on the front of mine it would look like with that big hole in the side of the fender and just a little bitty piece of trim in front and behind it. stupid trim glue Reply #7 – May 22, 2006, 03:37:04 PM ummm Im not to fond of the idea of an airhammer pounding against the side of my car lol the clear coats in bad enough shape as it is. Im afraid Id end up knocking a bunch off. That dont look to bad on that cougar it looks alot better then the big wide stuff Im trying what I can to get rid of the trim on the outside not sure about the bumper covers yet Im still theorizing on those.
