HELP! - Value of '85 Thunderbird, Fox Body 50

I just acquired this car from a friend who needed the money.  However, as it turns out, I really don't need it.  My new neighbor came over last night and wants to buy it.  It is in MORE than excellant condition with ALL power options.  Paint is almost mint, interior is flawless, but needs a rear end and the transmission to be rebuilt.  The engine was rebuilt 20k miles ago.  It has 160k miles and was a one owner car (his dad gave it to him).  I noticed that not all the Thunderbirds had the mustang suspension, but this one does.  It's a 30th anniversary.  Presently, we have the engine transmission pulled out.  But, I need to know how rare is this car and what would it be worth if I continued to fix it.  My neighbor has offered to buy it as it is, because he has a shop elsewhere to fix it.  I do not want to GIVE away something that is worth a lot more than I knew about.  PLEASE anyone give me any information on this vehicle as far as what it's worth, how many were made, etc.  :p

All fox thunderbirds and cougars have the same suspension setup as mustangs. Unless you mean the rear axle. The mustangs had 8.8's and the thunderbirds and cougars came with either 7.5's or 8.8's. As for the value of the car, with the tranny and rear needing rebuilt I would not pay over $400. But if the tranny and rear were in good order I would pay about $1000 for it. AS LONG AS IT HAS A 5.0 If it is a 3.8 much less.

Since it's a 30th it is worth a bit more, but in non-running condition not much. With a mint body and interior I might pay as much as a grand (maybe even $1500 if it were exceptional) because it would make a good starting point for a project. If the body and/or interior are not perfect it is just another parts car...

with no tranny or rear, AND I wanted it for a project, maybe up to 500 maybe a bit more if the 5.0 was in good running condition also.
