I used the bolt on scoop for mine and seems to work fine, sc124.  Seems to work fine and saves some money.  Will cover up the stock turbo scoops.
I did upgrade it a bit with a s of flat metal on the inside lip.

I've got the same scoop sitting in my room.  I think I might glass the front in a little when I install it.

I like that. I wonder what a flat top, or cowl with out the ridge would look like. This looks like a good way to go.

I built my own 4" cowl hood from a stock steel hood.  Made it functional too.

The line down the middle goes with the line up the front so it looks good.  Also the bump in front does not bother me, goes along with the 70's bolt on hood scoop look.

I also made mine functional.  Yesterday it backfired and all that smoke came right into my vent, one drawback.

Ted - Looks good.  Did you do any work on the scoop before painting it?
