lol...I love these gag videos that are coming out....like the one with the old lady being pulled off her feet by a rather large dog.

Unless this is a true video, in which case that crash sensor was bad.  Supposedly you can take a sledge and not even make the bags deploy.  Most systems need a combo. of atleast 2 sensors signaling "deploy" for it to blow the bags.  I also have experience hitting some trees with my Sundance and not having the bag go off.

would've been more believable if the airbag went off then deflaited like it normally would... and with the cloud of smoke.  The dog leash one is f'n great though.  Made me laugh real hard.

what video were youwatching? the air bad does slowly deflate and there was some smoke.

they blow up real fast and deflate real fast... and lots of smoke from the explosion.  at least that's my experiance with my taurus.  It's still funny though.

It also inflates too slowly.  If that were a 20 mph impact and they inflated at that speed......ouch...it would catch you as you were stopped from the seat belt and fling you back...not stop you.  Its a nice gag.  Plus you have to be going atleast 6-10 mph for the airbag to even concider going off, then you have to have a sudden decel to zero.  They aren't that sensitive.

Fake,  Too many factors that have to be accounted for an air bag system to deploy.

Okay I think we've established that this clip is NOT REAL.  However that does not diminish its comedic value.
