Just one more exhaust thread!

Well as it turns out i am getting the lincoln and for christmas i am getting a new exhaust. Heres what I was planning on getting any tips/info would be great.

 Shorty Headers 1 5/8"
 Mac 2 1/2" H-Pipe
 2 Flowmaster 40 Original Series
 22" Stainless Steel Tips

From the lers back I am planning on being all stainless. I want to buy some of those mandrel bend pipes and weld something together. My only problem is how I go from the H-Pipe to the lers. Do they sell the connectors or the flow pipes anywhere. Mustang flow pipes would need to be lengthended extra for me because this car is even longer than tbirds and cougs.

Any good exhaust shop should be able to make the pipes you need. I don't know if they would have the s.

Thats the problem though, every place around here charges like 60 bux for half an hour of work. I would have no problem welding some pipes on there. But i was wondering if the s could be found anywhere.

Why not just go to the junkyard and get some mustang pipes and cut off the s to put on new pipe?

you guys are talking about s like the parts that bolt the pipes to one another? you could always ask the exhaust shops around town. I found one at the shop across from my grandpa's.

I used dynomax ultra flow lers on my car and even though is a 3.8 it sounds pretty good. I imagine with a 5.0 the dynomax lers would sound even better. Dynomax lers actually flow better than flowmasters because dynomax uses a straight through design while flowmaster uses the interior baffles.

That plus "Flow"masters don't really flow all that well.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
