New Member Forum?

I was just wondering what you all would think of adding a new member forum. It seems we are attracting many new members and it might be nice to have a place for them to introduce themselves.

Feel free to shoot me down on this if you think it is a stupid idea.

We could move all the getting to know you threads.

Like
Post your mug.
Post your pets.
Where are you from.

And I know I missed a few.

I think it would be a good idea.

And maybe a FAQ on the simpler things, like 5 lug conversion, 11" brakes, and that kinda stuff, but then again, there's always Coolcats.net and search and all....
Somethin' like this may keep a future IGAH from "popping" up, lol

I think the lounge does a great job of getting all these "getting to know you" threads.  I don't see any need for it.

We've already got one. The "Greatest hits" section.

I agree with Stuntmannick - the lounge is a good place for "getting to know you" threads. I know that myself personally I never bother with "new member" sections at other forums (like Cougarnuts)

Hell some guy posted pictures of his car in the general                                                cougar discusion forum just a few days ago. You put up a new member forum and about half will use it. And those newbies will ask technicall question in it.
