This may be why this car gets sold!

Ok, so im going through an alarm install, figured I'd go ahead and wire up the relays first.  Get all the panels out and everything and I strip back the cable loom and Holy $h!t.  You have to be kidding me.  Some asshat when through the entire electric system and rewired it.  So not only do I have various stock wires, I now how some special ones as well.  Looking at the loom, you can tell it aint stock.  I did find the blue /black wire for the dome light, still dont know where to cut it, but that's fine.  I may not even mess with it anymore.  This car has given me nothing but bullshiznit since I've driven it.  Never gave my father any trouble but as soon as I get it, it falls apart.  I suppose that's a great way to repay me after I rust treated her, repainted her, and gave her new seats.  Oh well, I think I may just either take it somewhere and get it installed(with cash I dont have) or sell the  car.  Anyone else had to mess with some asshats gifts he left in your car?

My inner marker lights are different, one is a two filament bulb/base, one is the correct one filament.  So one marker is a bit dimmer.  That is all I can think of right now.

Found a lump of melted fuseable links and alt wiring on my 80 t-bird wrapped in electrical tape, had to replace about 2 feet of the harness due to corrosion, trailer wiring was messing up my lights, they were corroded and were crossing circuits. I think thats it...

You sure? Mine isn't all neatly wrapped, there's plugs that don't connect to anything, etc.  Maybe it's just standard Ford for the time?

Anywhere you can, and still have a few inches of wire from both sides to work with. One side goes up the window frame to the dome (connect to relay terminal 30), the other comes from the door switch (to terminal 87a). Bring a 12v supply wire from anywhere to terminals 85 and 87, your grounding "control" wire to 86, and the door-open (for grounding type pin-switches) input wire to 87a, too.

See?  It's easy.  Really. Trust me. Oh, c'mon... trust meeeeeeeee! :D

Mine is like that all over the place. I am surprized the engine runs... so I'm not messing with it until I get a garage. I had numberous items not working including: foglights, brakelights, reverse lights, fan, intermittent wipers and yadda yadda...

My old mustang was like that...I have no idea what one of the previous owners did, but the dash lighting would only come on with the headlights if you had the dome light switched on :disappoin I'd like to know what genius did that. So I had to pull the bulbs out of my dome lights so I could have lights in my dash.

Then, in the last year I was driving the car, the dash lights quit working completely. It was a good thing I had an aftermarket tach in the car that still lit up because otherwise I woulda had no idea how fast I was going.

Mine no longer runs after removing some random wires from a stero install.  There are also random wires everywhere, some look like extension wires you use in the house.  I think there was an alarm, but its not in there anymore (replaced by more wires).  I have a headache from the rats nest of wires. :(
